Verbs: Conditional is the ninety-sixth (assuming left to right) skill in the German language tree. It contains a total of five lessons that teach the conditional tense of German. Essentially, this tense answers the question, "What if?" with "It would..."

Only one new vocabulary word is learned in this skill: würden (it is an important part of the conditional tense, as you will see below).

Tips and NotesEdit

The German conditional tense is formed with an infinitive and the past subjunctive of werden, würden. Würden is formed in exactly the same way as the preterites are:

Pronoun Conjugation
ich würde
du würdest
er, sie, es würde
wir würden
ihr würdet
sie, Sie würden

Remember, the verbs beyond the first go at the end of the sentence.
