The German for Arabic speakers course is designed for Arabic speakers to learn German.

Authors' notesEdit

We're very excited to announce that the German for Arabic speakers has now started hatching!

I must first start by saying thanks to the wonderful boosting and encouragement this wonderful community gave when we posted about our desire to participate in such a course last week ...

History Edit

This course was started in Duolingo mainly due to a request[1] made by contributors proficient in the two languages. One of the motivations for the creation of the course was helping to "alleviate the migrant crisis in Europe"[1][2] [3] .

According to Gotthilf: "The mission applies perfectly to the situation in which Syrian immigrants in Germany find themselves in, and we thought we were in a fortuitous position to help make a difference"[4]
