Predicates and States is the thirty-ninth (assuming read left to right) skill in the Russian language tree. It has five lessons, and it teaches the "short" from of an adjective, which are often adverbs too. This form is used often in the state of something or as a predicate (it's cold, Мне холоднo).

Grammar NotesEdit

Short AdjectivesEdit

The short adjectives are used when they are:

  • Used to refer to qualities that are subjective (i.e. short, long, soft, good, etc.)
  • Used more often to mean a state or feeling (I feel cold.)
  • Short exclamations (Right!)
  • Judgement of something (That sounds wrong.)
  • Something that is someone is glad about, similar to, or similar (I'm glad to know you).
