Verbs:Present Perfect is the fortieth skill (assuming read left to right) in the Spanish language tree. Teaching another form of the past tense, it has ten lessons.
Grammar Notes[]
The present perfect is actually the same in Spanish as in English. There are two main parts to the present perfect; the auxiliary verb haber, which is conjugated, and the past participle of the verb.
- "has been" = ha sido/estado
Haber is an irregular verb, so you'll need to memorize it:
Pronoun | Conjugation |
---|---|
yo | he |
tú | has |
él, ella, usted | ha |
nosotros/nosotras | hemos |
vosotros/vosotras | habeís |
ellos, ellas, ustedes | han |
Use the present perfect when talking to other people about events that just happened or a sequence of events in the past.
