Verbs:Present Perfect is the thirty-ninth skill (assuming read left to right) in the Spanish language tree. Teaching another form of the past tense, it has ten lessons.

Grammar NotesEdit

The present perfect is actually the same in Spanish as in English. There are two main parts to the present perfect; the auxiliary verb haber, which is conjugated, and the past participle of the verb.

  • "has been" = ha sido/estado

Haber is an irregular verb, so you'll need to memorize it:

Pronoun Conjugation
yo he
has
él, ella, usted ha
nosotros/nosotras hemos
vosotros/vosotras habeís
ellos, ellas, ustedes han

Use the present perfect when talking to other people about events that just happened or a sequence of events in the past.
