Comparing 1 is the seventy-ninth (assuming read left to right) skill in the language tree for Welsh. The skill has four lessons and teaches how to use phrases such as "as...as" and "like a" to show comparison between two things.

The phrase "as...as" uses the words mor...â/ag in Welsh:
- mor hapus â = as happy as
- mor ddeallus â = as intelligent as
For some phrases cyn is used instead:
- Mae hi cynddrwg ag Eleri = She is as bad as Eleri
