Days is the fifth (assuming read left to right) skill of the Welsh language tree with a total of three lessons. This skill teaches the days of the week as well as how to describe the morning, afternoon, and night of these days.
Grammar Notes[]
Days of the week[]
All the Welsh days of the week are named after planets! When talking about the day, you have to have dydd before it so you don't confuse it with the planet's name.
- Mawrth = Mars
- dydd Mawrth = Tuesday
Saturday morning cartoons, anyone?[]
When you say, "Monday morning," you can use either bore dydd Llun or just bore Llun. The same works for prynhawn, but for nos you can't add dydd. The ones following nos are also slightly different:
- nos Fawrth, nos Fercher, nos Wener, nos Lun
