Yiddish to English will be a course for speakers of English to learn how to speak Yiddish. It is in Phase 1 in the Incubator with an estimated completion date of July 7, 2018,[1] long overdue.

On August 2017 it had six contributors. As of 16 February 2020, it has eight.
The contributor has stated that the main reason the course has been taking a long time is due several things, including:
- Designing a flag, monument,(*) and course description for Duolingo to use to promote the course (hence it does not appear on the main course page) as Yiddish is not an associated with any one place.
- crafting a skill to teach the Hebrew alphabet (which is now complete[1]
(*) Beginning May 2019 Duolingo stopped displaying monuments to symbolize languages.
